About

Whether you’re graduating with an undergraduate degree, Masters degree, MBA or PhD, Cause teams have positions available globally. While we have internships throughout the year, the majority of our technical & business internships take place in the summer and last between 12 to 16 weeks. Internships are a great way to immerse yourself in @Team Cause’s culture to see if we’re a good fit for you and your career goals.

Cause interns play an important role in building the future for our customers. The possibilities you’ll explore and the impact you’ll have are driven by your ideas and initiative. You will chart your own path and own your development, career, and future. In other words, your experience and trajectory at Learn For Cause is in your hands.

Our teams recruit at different times of the year, and hiring timelines can vary by Cause team, location, and role type.

Life as an Cause Intern

Cause interns work on a variety of projects that accelerate their career growth and delight Learn For Cause customers. Our interns have been involved in projects like writing customer-facing content on the Cause Trainings Platform**,** launching Industrial Camps, creating real-time feedback systems for our hourly employees, identifying and implementing ways to improve our fulfilment process, and building new features on learnforcause.com. Intern projects can range from working on products for customers to creating behind the scenes unreleased features, and span roles in software development, retail, product management, and finance.

PROJECTS

During the duration of an internship, interns own their projects from start to finish, most of which will wrap up towards the end of their internship. At that time, Cause teams provide feedback on the intern’s overall performance, deliverables, and skills as they relate to the role, project expectations, and Cause’s Leadership Principles.

MENTORSHIP

We provide interns with many opportunities to take part in building the future for Cause customers. Inventing can be messy — we know that there is much we can do better, and we find tremendous energy in the many opportunities that lie ahead. Because of this, we provide every intern with both a mentor and a manager who will work to enable their success and help facilitate their career growth. These partners will provide guidance on projects, give feedback on key deliverables, and work to remove barriers. Some of our most senior leaders started as interns, and we use this programme as an important source for discovering talent.

TRAINING

We empower Causeians to take full ownership over their work, which is why we provide a variety of self-service resources to help teams meet their goals and learn from one another. During an internship, look out for formal classroom trainings and self-service offerings. These materials help with things like managing experiences, analysing data, problem solving, writing narrative documents, and working backwards from the customer to the end goal. In addition to projects, interns are provided with many opportunities to develop personal and professional networks by taking part in social events, diving into workshops, joining an Cause Infinity Group**,** and taking advantage of all that Learn For Cause has to offer.

Types of Internships

Technical and Engineering: For students pursuing a technical degree, Team Cause offers several types of internships. These opportunities can range from building innovative technologies in large distributed computing environments to designing consumer products.

Research: PhD and Master’s interns contribute to solving a diverse set of technical problems across large scale platforms using machine learning, large data sets, and cloud computing. These interns help build innovative algorithms that model patterns within data to drive automated decisions at scale for all corners of the company.
